Since 2014, our team has grown from a handful of digital banking enthusiasts to over 150 developers, data scientist, digital banking specialists and customer success people. We are based in beautiful Budapest, Hungary where we support our customers from.
Our team focuses on helping the financial industry boost its digital banking DNA, personalise interactions with customers and modernise their ageing digital banking platforms so they can become truly data-driven. W.UP has recently merged with BSC, a digital banking company based in the Czech Republic to form Finshape, a digital banking powerhouse.
To support our group’s existing client base and uncover new up/cross-selling opportunities, we are looking for a proven & talented Key Account Manager who will report to the Head of Sales, who has vast experience in enterprise software solutions with banking domain and digital banking expertise. We are flexible in terms of location with a preference to Budapest, Hungary, but territories you would need to cover are CEE & CIS.
You will be comfortable with maintaining the company’s relationship with its clients, ensure we address their ongoing needs and requirements. You will also be responsible to identify any new opportunities and to articulate the company’s expanded product portfolio to existing clients. Your role will also include liaising with our group’s sister company BSC’s sales force & account manager and identify cross-selling opportunities in BSC’s client base.
You are excellent at working in a Fintech environment, get things done by engaging and liaising with product teams, sales engineers, pre-sales consultants and data scientists. By using a consultative approach and MEDDICC sales process to selling, you will use your expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to cross-sales opportunities and increase the company’s revenue from existing clients.

What excites us:
- Minimum 5 years’ quota carrying sales/key account manager experience (ideally within both startups & large companies) and proven track record of success
- Experience and working knowledge of digital banking systems specially around data analytics, ML, digital sales, customer experience
- Following the MEDDICC sales process to focus the team’s energy and time on high potential opportunities
- Market intelligence and familiarity with the digital banking space in the given territory
- Interest in improving financial services and digital banking
- Desire to create strategic relationships with our customers and help them succeed in their digital transformation
- An excellent communicator and presenter who can also listen to customers to understand their needs
- Strong ability to articulate contractual, technical, and financial value propositions to customers, including executive leaders
- Familiarity with cloud based technologies, financial software, digital banking and the basics of AI/ML and data analytics
